Krasnodar, 12 January. This year, municipal parking lots in Krasnodar are offering differentiated fees.
The changes were put in force since January 10.
“It was necessary to do it to lessen the traffic load in the centre of the city,” the Mayor’s Office’ press service admitted. “The differentiated tariff will help improve the streets’ rideability, reduce traffic jams, and create the priority for public transport.”
According to the Department for Transport and Road Utilities, the previous tariff (30 roubles per hour) was approved back in 2013. Now specialists calculated the new cost of one hour of parking, depending on the transport load on the spot.
All parking spaces were divided into five zones. The parking fee in the city centre, including Krasnaya Street, will be 60 roubles per hour. The highest price, 100 roubles per hour, was established for the cars parked in the railway station forecourt. The further from the centre, the lower the fee will be – from 50 down to 30 roubles per hour.
Vladimir Arkhipov, Director of the Department for Transport and Road Utilities, was quoted as saying that the tariff for the railway station forecourt had been approved in 2014, and the city authorities are not planning to increase it.
