Krasnodar, 21 October. The issuance of credit bank cards has reportedly grown by 42.8% in the Kuban region over the past year.
Last September, Kuban banks issued 42,700 new credit cards, the press service of the National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBCH) announced. In September 2020, the number of credit cards issued to Kuban residents was 29,900.
“A substantial growth in the issuance of new credit cards in September as compared with September 2020 can be explained by the situation that was formed last year in the retail lending market,” Aleksei Volkov, NBCH Marketing Director, explained. “Then both the banks and the borrowers were recovering after the quarantine, and the issuance of credit cards reduced drastically. Now, on the whole, the credit cards segment is developing quite dynamically.”
In September 2021, Krasnodar krai was the fourth top Russian region in the issuance of credit cards.
