Krasnodar, 30 July.
Seven heritage sites have been approved as protected landmarks in Krasnodar krai.
They all are located in the historical centre of Krasnodar. The objects of protection include genuine heritage sites, unique architectural appearances of the façades, and elements of the interior.
The restoration of two sites will begin this year. The first one is Akulov’s Revenue House built in 1911, one of the best examples of the art-nouveau style – its façades will be restored. The second object is the house of St. Maria Madeleine’s Nunnery erected at the end of the 19th century, now – an academic building of the Kuban State Technological University; its interior will undergo renovations.
Later, five other buildings will be restored: an art-nouveau and brickstyle houses at Pashkovskaya Street; General Vishnevetsky’s Mansion and the Scientists’ House in eclectic style with elements of pseudo-Russian style at Krasnoarmeiskaya Street built in the early 1900s; and the House of Diligence at Kirov Street erected in 1902.
