Krasnodar, 9 June. At the 24th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum held last week, Krasnodar krai signed investment agreement to the total amount of almost 162 billion roubles. The region concluded nearly ten times more agreements than in 2019. When implemented, they will give 7,700 new jobs. Altogether, there were 22 agreements signed during the Forum, most of them concerning industrial and touristic development.
The biggest agreements were concluded in the industrial sphere: on upgrading of the Afipsky Oil Refinery (46 billion roubles) and construction of a cement mill in Novorossiysk (22 billion roubles).
When rejuvenated, the Afipsky Oil Refinery will bring the share of pure oil products from 57% to 75% of the total volume of oil produced in the region. The agreement was signed by Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev and Afipsky Oil Refinery CEO Aleksei Sidorov.
The new cement mill in Novorossiysk will produce annually 3.5 million tons of products. The respective agreement was signed by Vice Governor Aleksandr Ruppel and Director General of Novorossiysk Cement Works “Gorny.” The implementation of the project will open up 450 new jobs in the city.
