Krasnodar, 11 Мау. On these feast days, Krasnodar krai hosted hundreds of events dedicated to celebration of Victory Day, with parades and demonstrations held in major cities of the region.
Because of the coronavirus constraints, the number of spectators was limited.
In Novorossiysk, a restored T-34 tank took part in the ceremonial parade. In the past, it used to stand at the entrance to the city by Wolf Gate Pass, and then it was restored by servicemen of the Novorossiysk Naval Base. On May 9, the tank headed the column of the military review. In total, over 30 samples of military and special vehicles of all army branches took part in the parade. At noon, a salvo was fired from the Museum Cruiser Mikhail Kutuzov in honour of defenders of the Motherland perished during WWII.
Personnel of the Krasnodar Garrison, Cossacks of the Kuban Host, and military cadets – altogether 30 ceremonial squads consisting of over 1,750 servicepersons – marched in review along Main Square of the regional capital.
As for the traditional Immortal Regiment, it was held online for the second time. Over 40,000 Kuban inhabitants took part in the activity.
