Krasnodar, 21 January. A new polypropylene packing plant has reportedly been opened in Ust-Labinsk. The construction agreement was concluded at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi in 2019. Its total cost approximated 204 million roubles. As a result of its implementation, about 70 new jobs appeared in the city.
The Rassvet Plant will manufacture packaging for sugar, flour, salt, starch, dry feed and construction materials. Its nominal yearly capacity is 8.6 million polypropylene sacks. In addition, it will make polyethylene film.
“It is important that the new production site was located in the Kuban Industrial Park, one of the four industrial parks existing in our region. For the residents, it is not only a chance to use the ready infrastructure, but also to lower the operating costs and get access to governmental support measures, including support on income and property taxes,” Vice Governor Aleksandr Ruppel said.
For the residents, the rate of the income tax will be lowered from the traditional 17% down to 13.5%. The property tax rate will vary: it will be 1% during the first three years, and then the validity of the privileged tax rate may last for up to ten years, depending on the amount of investment.
