Krasnodar, 27 November. The alpine resort of Rosa Khutor has reviewed the results of the season: this year, it received about 800,000 holidaymakers.
The tourist flow was lower by 54,000 persons than last year, but it should be borne in mind that the season began only in late June. At the same time, thankful to the good weather, it lasted till November 15. The holidaymakers showed keen interest in ecotourism and hiking and cycling tours in the mountains – over 15,000 tourists rented bicycles and electric bikes for that purpose.
This year, ten hiking tours, including the new nature trail “From Snowfields to Waterfalls”, worked at the resort. That trail expanded the existing hiking area to nearly seventy kilometres. Another popular destination was the Mendelikha Waterfall Park – it welcomed from 3,000 to 5,000 visitors every day; the total figure over the season was about 410,000 holidaymakers. Many tourists preferred to get acquainted to new sites with a guide: this year, guided tours were attended by nearly 6,000 holidaymakers, which was three times as many as in 2019.
