Krasnodar, 24 November. The upcoming winter tourist season will be organized in the Kuban region with due observance of a number of anti-COVID measures.
Governor Veniamin Kondratiev recounted the peculiarities of the resorts’ work during the New Year holidays. He noted that 90% of the rooms in the alpine hotels in Sochi have already been booked, and up to 300,000 holidaymakers are expected to come. It is there where the prevention measures will be the strongest. Sanitary treatment of cabins of cableways will be performed on a regular basis. Electronic ski-passes will be sold contactless.
“This year, the flows of the tourists and the athletes will be ‘pulled apart’ as much as possible. In the territory of the mountain cluster, three COVID-19 test labs will be working. At the least sign of infection, the visitors will be able to undergo tests. If the infection would be proved, our doctors would render them all necessary aid,” Mr. Kondratiev assured.
A peculiar attention will be paid to the consumer outlets – all cafés and restaurants will be open only till midnight with observance of all sanitary safety rules, including face mask regime and social distancing.
