Krasnodar, 29 October. The current implementation of the national project “Education” is reportedly facing difficulties with the speed of the works and the quality of the deliveries.
The problem was discussed last week at a regional meeting chaired by Governor Veniamin Kondratiev. It was revealed that not all equipment procurement contracts have been duly signed for the new school projects in Armavir and Korenovsk. Explaining the situation, Armavir Mayor Andrei Kharchenko assured that the contracts will be signed in the nearest future.
“The deadlines were shifted because the design specifications and estimates for the school had been changed – but all issues will be shut until the end of this month,” Mr. Kharchenko said.
Apart from that, cases of purchase of inferior equipment for schools were recorded in Krasnodar. By now, 35% of the rejected equipment has been returned to the suppliers.
Mr. Kondratiev charged the regional Ministry of Education and municipal heads to keep these issues under strict control.
