Krasnodar, 22 October. In Goryachyi Kluch 24 European fallow deer were released into the wild.
The ecological event was held on the territory of the State Natural Zoological Reserve of regional importance “Goryacheklyuchevskaya”.
Recall that in the period from 2009 to 2012, an epidemic of African swine fever broke out in the region. This led to a significant decline in the population of wild boar, which is a popular hunting site. It was necessary to replace the animals with alternative species of ungulates. For these purposes was chosen the European fallow deer, which is quite easily adapted to the Kuban climate. The Legislative Assembly, represented by our Committee, continues its joint activities with the regional Ministry of Natural Resources to protect the environment and restore bioresources in the Kuban. Krasnodar Krai is one of the few regions where this work is carried out on a systematic basis.
