Krasnodar, 13 October. The first batch of the Russian-made anti-coronavirus vaccine has reportedly arrived at Krasnodar krai.
The forty-two doses were distributed among six hospitals. First of all, the vaccine will be given to the healthcare workers that work with COVID-19 patients. As on now, 30 workers have been vaccinated for COVID-19. Until the end of the year, 4,900 vaccine doses will arrive at the region in the framework of an agreement between the federal and the regional Health Care Ministries. It is planned that about 5,000 workers of 97 healthcare establishments will be vaccinated by then.
Presently, 4,659 beds have been deployed in 22 healthcare institutions involved in the treatment of the new coronavirus disease. According to the regional Health Care Ministry, 16% of the beds remain latent. If necessary, their total number may be increased to 5,920. The number of oxygen connection points is reportedly sufficient; the needed number of artificial lung ventilation (ALV) and the reserve of required facilities have been duly prepared. Most of the ALV apparatuses – 503 out of the 595 available at hospitals – remain latent.
According to Governor Veniamin Kondratiev, the epidemiological situation in the region remains stable.
