Krasnodar, 31 July. Seventy-seven percent of the scheduled works under the construction project for a new water pipe near Armavir have reportedly been completed.
The new 4.5-km long water main will provide residents of Zavetny village and other neighbouring settlements with potable water. Its construction began at the end of 2019. As on now, over 3.5 km of the pipe have been laid. “The diameter of the new pipe is twice as big as the old one’s. The new water facility’s throughput capacity will be increased to 4,000 cubic metres a day,” the regional Ministry of Fuel and Energy Complex and Housing and Utilities Sector announced. “The specialists are working in two shifts to finish the works ahead of schedule. Now the completeness percentage is more than 77%.”
According to the Ministry, the new water pipeline’s service life is to exceed 50 years. It takes account of the forecasted rising population of the village. The cost of the project exceeds 62 million roubles.
The other plans for 2020 also include the construction of a loading water pipe from the city to Volnoe village, Uspensky rayon, and the reconstruction of the water-intake facility and pipelines at Zarya village near Anapa.
