Krasnodar, 28 January – Yug Times. Nikolai Doluda has reportedly resigned from the vice governor’s and Kuban Cossack Host ataman’s offices.
By order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Mr. Doluda has been appointed Ataman of the all-Russia Cossack Society. At the last reporting meeting of the Kuban Cossack Host, his colleagues congratulated him on his new appointment and thanked him for many years of service.
“Owing to Nikolai Doluda, the Kuban Cossack movement have changed greatly – it took real steps in all directions and passed over a period of formation,” Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said. “Now we are facing a new stage of development. It is our common responsibility not only to proceed with Nikolai Doluda’s pursuit but to find new areas for development.”
According to Mr. Kondratiev, it is required to develop the system of Cossack education and perfect the Cossack economy.
Nikolai Doluda served twelve years as the Host ataman. For more than thirteen years, he worked as a vice governor. The new ataman will be elected in six months.
