Krasnodar, 1 October – Yug Times. Over the past three years, German investors have reportedly invested about 40 million euro in the economy of Krasnodar province.
Last week, Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev had a meeting with the new German Ambassador to Russia Andreas Géza von Geyr. The two officials discussed the prospects for further development of economic relations between the Kuban regiona and Germany. Mr. von Geyr was appointed German Ambassador in September. Krasnodar became one of the fist Russian regions he visited in this status.
“Such attention is important for Krasnodar province,” Mr. Kondratiev noted. “Germany ranks high in the list of our main strategic partners. Currently, there are about thirty companies with German capital operating in the region.”
In his turn, Mr. von Geyr noted that the German business circles are interested to expand their cooperation with Krasnodar province, and they give a positive assessment to the opportunities of their development in the region.
“All main economic factors in the region are positive. Besides, you have splendid natural condition,” Andreas Géza von Geyr said.
