Krasnodar, 9 November – Yug Times. Thankful to him, hundreds of young inventors got a chance to make a reality of their most daring ideas. Projects, competitions and grants… Viktor Baranov, Chairman of the Krasnodar regional public organisation Russian Youth League is confident that presently everyone has a chance for self-realisation. Baranov believes that the most important thing is to love what you do - “then you’ll come off well.”
“Recently we launched the Factory of Social Design. In its framework, we hold meetings with kids, where we share with them our experience about various foundations, contests and platforms, where one can be granted money to develop their projects,” he says. “For instance, one of our members thought up a project, Be A Man. We organised a school in its framework, where the students were taught to shoot films. Many spots shot by the students were transmitted on regional TV channels.”
Last year, Viktor Baranov headed the Krasnodar regional public organisation Russian Youth League.
“I am very glad that this structure has returned to Kuban,” Baranov says. “The Union was organised in our region back in 1991; it realised lots of interesting projects and programs, but regretfully in 2006 it was closed. Now we again got a chance to take up our hobbies and reveal young people’s talents.” Viktor Baranov is never scared of difficulties. Their Union does not have a separate room, resources or sponsors yet (in other cities they do), but the main thing is that his kids want to move forward and not mark time.
“We have already won the project, History of the Russian Army. In its context, we will introduce schoolchildren and university students with remarkable battles and military leaders that exerted huge influence upon the development of our country,” Viktor states.
